A co-operative word game for 1–5. The table builds one word together, a letter at a
time, and scores it. Use every consonant in the alphabet and you have made the
perfect score: 26.
The letters
The 21 consonants are shuffled and dealt out: each is in exactly one player's hand, and
only that player can play it. Your own are the white keys on your screen.
Vowels belong to everybody.
No letter may appear twice in a word — so every word is a heterogram
(PLANK, not PAPER).
A turn
Turns go round the table. On yours, do one thing:
Add a letter to the end of the word: one of your consonants, or any vowel not already in it.
Pass. The table shares two passes per player; the count is on every screen.
Submit the word as it stands (two letters or more). A real word scores and the table starts a
new one — you keep the turn and begin it. A word the dictionary does not know stays on the table:
its consonants are spent, so keep building until it is a word.
A seat on its turn: the word being built on top, your consonants white, vowels green,
and the order of play on the right with how many letters each player still holds.
Scoring
1 point for each consonant in an accepted word.
A word of five letters or more also scores each of its vowels — once per game per vowel. A scored
vowel shows a ✓ and can still be used.
The game ends when every consonant is in an accepted word — or when anyone presses Forfeit, which
keeps the score as it stands. If the table is stuck (no word can be finished from what is on it with the
letters and passes left) the screens say so.
The TV is the table: the word, the whole alphabet, the score and whose turn it is. It never
shows whose hand a consonant is in — only how many each player has left.

Tables, phones and bots

Anyone at the table can press Start. + Add a bot fills a seat; bots share the work and
spell along with you, toward a word they keep to themselves.
If you leave your turn for a few minutes, a bot covers for you. Tap 🙋 Take over to have your seat back.
The lobby: who is at the table, Start, and bots. The end of a game. Play again deals a new game to the same table; Lobby goes back to change who is playing.
